Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying

Trying to study copious amounts of information for the exams in January is a lot like trying to deep-fry a Thanksgiving turkey or, better yet, dragging a piece of furniture around wherever you go.
To put it simply: I’m tired. Exhausted. Clearly there’s a significantly lesser amount to study as compared to the gargantuan amounts that had been prescribed for the 10th std. Yet the content of the lessons for these exams are enough to make you question your sanity and wonder whether your life is taking a turn for the worse. I think the only reason I’m giving these exams and going to college is just for the sake of ‘getting educated’.
It’s quite a strange way to end the year. Inhaling textbooks and then flinging them across the room.
Happy holidays and all!

  1. ‘The grass is always greener on the other side’. Turkey cooking is quite an education in itself!!-- and the graders are pretty tough!!
As tedious as studying is—they say it is necessary, not evil. A 'term of endearment'. There is more ‘learning’ in the learning, than the actual content itself. It is, like the test is teaching you a lesson. Even though you fling them across the room, miraculously, some of it will boomerang back in mysterious ways. Trust me, it will help you in more ways than you know and can even comprehend, as you journey through life.
Someone has compared education to building bridges. So keep the big picture in mind—and just think of these exams as a few obstacles you have to cross to get closer to where you want to go, even if you do not like the view for now. It will change—and evolve- just like you. So keep expressing your frustrations, creatively—that too is part of the education. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Good Luck and have a Great year —learning!
